• The story of FF Conservation and Restoration is a conservation story in itself and the idea of structural integrity, one of the cornerstones of our day to day work practices, lies at the heart of that story.

     

    The business was founded in 2011 by Fintan Farrell who has over 30 years of experience in conservation services and has a strong reputation in the industry for his knowledge and expertise. He is descended from generations of stone masons, engineers and construction project managers so he grew up with this in his blood.

     

    Others in the family have joined the business bringing their own construction and conservation qualifications and experience to the table. Together they exemplify this cornerstone idea of “blending traditional building methods with new conservation technologies so as to ensure the longevity of historic buildings for future generations.”

    Fintan has worked in the conservation and waterproofing industry since the 1990’s having graduated from DIT. Over the course of his career, Fintan has been entrusted with some of Ireland's most prestigious buildings. From the Four Courts during the 90’s, to Clongowes Wood College in the 00’s and to Marley Grange House in the 10’s, Fintan has a vast portfolio to choose from spanning three decades. Fintan is passionate about using the best materials and highly skilled technicians to ensure our built heritage lasts for generations to come.
