•  Preserving our Heritage to last a Lifetime

  • We bring buildings Back to Life

FF Conservation & Restoration was established in 2011 by Fintan Farrell who's worked in the conservation and waterproofing industry since the 1990s. His vast portfolio of work spans three decades. At the heart of everything he does is this idea of “blending traditional building methods with new conservation technologies". Fintan is passionate about using the best materials and highly skilled technicians all to ensure the structural integrity of each building so it lasts for generations to come. We're an authorised contractor for the most prestigious suppliers in conservation.

    Your conservation & renovation specialists

We blend traditional building methods with modern conservation technologies.

Damp Proofing - Fintan Farrell Conservation & Restoration

    DAMP PROOFING

We look at Damp Proofing in a building when the issues arise. We provide solutions in each of these areas: Radon Gas Control, Rising Damp, Falling Damp, Lateral Damp, and Condensation, Mould Control & Cold Bridging.

We view each building as a living entity. We understand that when a building is allowed to breathe, it can be preserved. We know from experience that moisture and dampness hinder a building’s ability to breathe. If there’s dampness in your building, it’s our job to find it!

Timber Treatment - Fintan Farrell Conservation & Restoration

    TIMBER TREATMENT

There are four situations where Timber Treatment is critical. It can result from an infestation of insects, organisms, or due to a persistent source of moisture.

These situations include: Woodworm, Dry Rot, Wet Rot, and Timber Preservation. And we provide solutions in each of these. All our timber treatment services comes with a ten year guarantee.

Facade Restoration - Fintan Farrell Conservation & Restoration

    FACADE RESTORATION

We believe that blending traditional building methods with new conservation technologies will ensure the longevity of historic buildings for future generations. This is very apparent in our Facade Restoration Services.

Our services include: Lime Pointing & Rendering to improve the functionality and aesthetics of your building, Brick & Stone Services such as Vortex cleaning, and Façade Protection.

Vortex cleaning improves the longevity of your building. When combined with facade protection treatment, there's extra protection and a ten year guarantee.

    REMEDIAL SURVEYS

If you're embarking on a major renovation or buying a property (especially pre-1960s property), it pays to get someone with knowledge and expertise. More often than not there are issues lurking behind what you can see. This is where our Specialist Damp Consultancy & Pre Purchase Condition Surveys can help and assist when planning your project.

  • What others say

"My friend highly recommended Fintan so I thought it was a good lead to follow. I found him and his team, to be diligent, honest and hard working. Their attitude to their work is very welcoming. It's great to have had the pleasure of working with such a reliable bunch and I'd have no issues recommending them in the future."
    Mr McDonagh, Dublin
"I own an 18th century home which was falling into a need of repair for some time. I found an architect who advised I look at Fintan's work. After our first meeting I felt confident to have him on board. I'm glad my home is back to its original glory and even more pleased that this has been a positive experience"

    Ms. O'Rourke, Dublin

“We had Fintan and crew with us for the whole Summer working on our cottage and I have nothing but praise. Fintan always kept us informed and the lads were a pleasure to have on site. Laura went above and beyond helping me photograph the works. We have the cottage in our family a long time and it was important to me to have all these photos.”
